The renovation work on the burnt University of Jos Library Complex is now 95 per cent complete, according to consultants. It is really 'beauty coming out of ashes!' A student commented: "Whaoo! The landscape alone is inviting!" Internal space is equally inviting. See pictures below.
The library has also received shipment of books donated by friends and institutions from Nigeria, United Kingdom, and United States of America.

The British Nigeria Education Trust (BNET) made a donation
of 47 cartons of books and whole sets of journals, shipped from the United Kingdom, as a response to “Operation
Beauty from Ashes”. At a presentation ceremony, Chairman of BNET, David
Brandler, said it was a privilege for the organization to contribute to the
rebuilding efforts of the University of Jos Library and hoped that the recovery
effort would be complete soon. He is seen making the donation to the
Vice Chancellor, Professor Seddi Sebastian Maimako, and in another picture with all the Principal Officers of the University, including the University Librarian, Dr. Stephen Akintunde..
